Missy:
The fuselage rebuild is proceeding, with the DogHouse now
under construction. The canopy is being rebuilt, and some
cockpit furnishings installed. We are continuing to acquire
parts, as they become available.
The propeller should be completed very soon. Horizontal
rebuild continues.
The wing rebuild has begun and the motor frame is scheduled
for completion next week.

Missy:
Work has continued on the fuselage rebuild, and we have
continued to source parts for the Merlin and the airframe.
More pics soon.
We have sent another care package chock a block full of
goodies to our troops in Iraq....the Flying Tigers. Hope
you got it guys!
Since this aircraft actually flew in the Florida Air National
Guard (not to mention the parts from Gen Robin Olds' Scat
VII) we had written a letter requesting some state support
to Sen Mel Martinez, who had replied basically that the
project was not important enough for him to donate, given
all the other worthy causes out there. His letter is displayed
for public inspection in our Museum. I invite you to contact
his office and urge them to reconsider.
We are also receiving a great deal of positive feedback
from the various children's charities to which we have offerred
flights when Missy is flying.
Thank you again to our support from Goodyear and Eaton Aerospace.

Missy:
Exciting News!
WWII Fighter Aircraft Foundation is pleased to annouce our
New Sponsors: Goodyear who is graciously providing
our main tires, and Eaton Aerospace in conjunction
with Herber Aircraft Service who will provide our hose assemblies
for the powerful Merlin engine and for the airframe.
Thank you all for your support of this magnificent aircraft!
Work continues on the fuselage, and we have posted the latest
pics. We are also sourcing more original parts for the airframe
such as spade doors, and control surfaces which would be
used more cost effectively than rebuild our damaged units.
Another month is down on the waiting list for the wings.
Soon it will be our turn.
Please know that this aircraft will be accessible to the
public, and we also need the support of the public to help
preserve her for all to enjoy. Please visit our gift
shop. The proceeds from your purchase of Missy
Merchandise benefit the restoration.
Also note that we have restarted the auction
for a one hour flight in the completed TF-51 "Missy."
Proceeds from the auction go to the restoration. Flight
date TBA following completion.

Missy:
The rebuild of the fuselage continues at Carl Scholl's Aero
Trader. Small brackets are being installed, and hopefully
soon we will have more pics to post. The waiting list for
the wing has gone down one more month, and we have located
a prop, thanks to Jay Wisler.
We also have been contacted by a gentleman who rode in this
aircraft as a boy. I am hoping he will have some pictures
for us to share.
Also be sure to visit our gift shop for new merchandise,
which we have created for aviation buffs, both men and women.
These new items have been exceptionally popular with our
female visitors.
A rare
cuff bladed propeller has been located, and we have continued
to acquire parts needed to rebuild this beautiful aircraft.
The fuselage rebuild proceeds with the installation of the
TF specific parts. We also cross off another month on the
waiting list for our wings.
Our pile of -7 Merlin parts also grows.
More pics coming soon.
Also be sure to submit your bid for a one hour flight in
the completed Miss Missy which will be a full limited category
TF-51. Flight date TBA, but the more you bid the sooner
it will be!
Thank you to all who have donated parts and money to help
support this aircraft.
We are buyers for P-51 parts, and Merlin parts. Donations
gratefully accepted, and tax deductible.
